So, once Lewis had finished his devastation, we drove onward to Westleton and parked up at our next stop, The White Horse. Again we were lucky enough to be visiting a beautiful looking village with a very traditional village green (it was huge), together with a very active duck pond. There were ducks everywhere, but unfortunately they were out of luck as we'd forgotten the bread !
entering. It wasn't as picturesque as our previous drinking establishment but again it had all the feel of a village local. Being a Saturday afternoon the 8 of us actually doubled the numbers in the pub and the barman seemed quite glad of a little something to do.
The Adnams Old was by now a hit and another batch of pints was ordered - and drunk pretty swiftly! The choice of Adnams was slightly smaller here with only Broadside and Bitter being available, alongside the popular Old. The bar area was quite small and cosy and I couldn't imagine too many more punters would have been able to fit in without it becoming a bit tight.
We spent another 50 mins or so in the pub, listening to a few golfing anecdotes from our resident Pro Mr. Day, before deciding that being already 10 minutes late for meeting the ladies in Aldeburgh, that now was a good time to get going!

We managed to get together with the girls at about 4.30, but once again shopping was mentioned, so those that were at the back of the pack slipped down a side street and found themselves in The Cross Keys for half an hour enjoying a pint of Explorer and a natter with the Landlord. Ahh, the joys of a Saturday afternoon! At about 5pm we hitched up with the girls and headed upto the fish and chip shop, but alas it did not open til 5.30pm. Hmm hang on we thought !!!!
At about 6pm we left The Mill in Aldeburgh, after yet another pint of Old, and headed back up to the chip shop for Aldeburgh fish and chips. We arrived home like kings and everyone was a winner - I think !
